Ultan’s songwriting flair & virtuosity have fascinated many music legends for years.

Recently Mary Coughlan grabbed & recorded two of Ultan’s songs “Really Gone” and “The Lumberjack”. John Martyn was also enthralled by & recorded “Really Gone” while Hot Press have described Ultan as “having clear melodic vocals that bring Roy Orbison to mind”

Ultan anchored his distinctive sound and sensibility in Los Angeles, California with Grammy Award- winning David Garza (Fiona Apple) who produced Ultan’s 5th record, The Starlight Ballroom.

8 of Ultan’s singles have topped the RTE Radio 1 Airplay charts with current evocative & rhapsodic single “Paradise Lane” from his new album “The Starlight Ballroom” residing in the RTE recommends list for three consecutive weeks.

Ultan’s performances have been labelled as a “rare treat filled with original music, beguiling backstories & loud laughter which make for a wonderful, uplifting evening”
