HAVVK & Cable Boy

HAVVK (pronounced Hawk) are an alternative rock band based in Dublin. Fronted by Galway’s Julie Hawk and her dynamic, soaring vocal, HAVVKʼs music steers the listener from moments of immersive shoegaze to thrashing punk rock. Their live show is equal parts confrontation and celebration, tackling topics such as bodily autonomy, gender expression, and mental health, all nestled in a bedrock of layered, distorted guitars.

The band hit the road to showcase their new album Time Will Kill, self-described as ‘a reckoning’. An album that chronicles the personal pursuit to reclaim control, it’s a decisive shift in perspective from their third album, To Fall Asleep - a tumultuous rollercoaster ride of anxiety, paranoia, and the longing for reconnection. Time Will Kill emerges as a defiant, ground-shaking successor, sharpening HAVVK’s intensity like a storm gathering strength.

“a raucous dip into empowerment” (The Line of Best Fit).

“one of the best bands in Ireland at the moment” - Stephen McCauley, BBC Radio Ulster

“One of my favourite Irish bands, absolutely excellent”  - Kieran McGuiness, Radio Nova

“A beautiful vocal matched to a black heart” - CLASH

CABLE BOY

Cable Boy are a 5-piece rock band from Dublin Ireland.

Garnering comparisons from DIIV and Yves Tumor to My Bloody Valentine and the Cure, what emerges is a sound and sensibility unique to them.

The result, aptly coined: 'goth disco' is equal parts brooding and boisterous. Their stage craft. alongside a fusion of glossy melodies, glittery synth-craft and feedback swells, has proved road worthy in local DIY haunts and Vicar Street alike.

Their debut album, FOREVER, is out now with praise already in from the likes of CLASH and Dork.
