Generally acknowledged as one of Ireland's foremost character comedians, Paul Tylak spends much of his time wowing audiences on both sides of the Irish Sea with his one-man multi-character shows... Though probably best-known in Ireland for his stint as "Ashti", the Kurdish refugee in the hugely popular RTE soap, "Fair City"...Paul also co-wrote and starred in two series of the critically acclaimed sketch show "STEW" for RTE which scooped both the prestigious Irish Film and Television Award and the Celtic Film and Television Award, for Best Entertainment Programme, in the same week! Tylak describes "STEW" as "A character-driven joyride across the Irish psyche"... Before that, he wrote and co-starred in "The O'Show," (a six part Irish sketch show for BBC Radio 4) and "Stand-Up Sketches", (RTE Radio 1) and appeared twice in the comedy classic "Father Ted"...He currently performs regularly with "The Dublin Comedy Improv" in the International Bar on Wicklow Street on Monday Nights.
